'Morning Joe' Warns Trump Administration Could Be on the Brink of 'Total Meltdown'

Don't look now, but Donald Trump may have finally lost the confidence of "Morning Joe." In the wake of Michael Flynn's resignation, both Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski caution that the scandal could torpedo Trump's nascent administration—and sink the Republican Party.

"Republicans and editorial writers cannot be so stupid as to pretend that they just picked on poor Michael Flynn out of nowhere," Scarborough said, noting Flynn's clear ties to the Russian president.

"[Flynn] is a man who visited Russia, had dinner with Putin, was believed to [have] received payments from Russia," Scarborough hammered, calling on the GOP to "just stop that BS."

"Note to Republicans: this only gets worse," Brzezinski added. "This only gets worse for the country and for you and for your party."

According to the hosts, removing Flynn will not make this scandal go away. Top Democrats agree.

"All the dots are leading up to questions about what exactly the relationship is with Russia; it's a question that cannot be let go, but you have this Kellyanne [Conway] issue... You have little [Stephen] Miller going on the Sunday talk shows, mischaracterizing the powers of the presidency. You have the president undermining the judiciary, you have all this information—misinformation—being churned out by the president himself sometimes and Kellyanne Conway," Brzezinski continued. "This looks like the steps leading up to a total meltdown."

And if you're wondering why Conway won't be appearing on "Morning Joe" any time soon, it's quite simple.

“I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show; I won’t do it,” Brzezinski said Wednesday. “I don’t believe in fake news or information that is not true. That is—every time I’ve ever seen her on television something is askew, off, or incorrect.”
